Please note that effective today (Aug 29,01) Norhwest Gander River is re-opening for angling. Southwest and the remainder of tributaries are still closed.
Looks like the rain we've had over the past few days has livelied up the angling action somewhat on the Gander. I have heard of several fish hooked this past weekend and over the past 2 days I have heard that several fresh fish have been caught. Seems like Jim Brown's Rattle and Sunshine Pool are the lucky spots as well as pools from Glenwood to 4th Pond.
Only 9 more days for retention, then it goes to the fall hook and release until Oct 8.
