| Using an FTP program: Downloading the program |
To follow along with this section you will need to download an FTP program.
It is encouraged that you use 'Bullet Proof FTP' to take full advantage of these tutorials.
These Tutorials are intended to be read in succession from first to last as some key points are referenced in later tutorials.

If you ever need to update your website you will be required to know how to use an FTP program. Using an FTP (File Transfer Protocol) program will enable you to upload your website files to your webserver. Before we begin you will need your FTP account information on hand. This information is typically assigned to you when you first subscribe to a website hosting company.
The following information is required:
- Host address (typically your website address: www.mysite.com)
- Port (usually port 21)
- UserName
- Password

Once the program is Installed you are ready to connect to the webserver.
